Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and CoolGuru.ai (“CoolGuru”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using CoolGuru, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

CoolGuru is currently in beta, which means we are still building and improving it. Some features and content may be incomplete or contain errors, and we may change or remove them at any time. Thank you for your patience while we make CoolGuru better.

CoolGuru is for students in CBSE Class 9 and Class 10. We do not currently support other classes or boards.

To create an account, you must be 18 or older and the parent or legal guardian of each child whose profile you add. You are responsible for all activity on your account, including what your children do, and for keeping your password safe.

Lessons, revision material, practice questions, answers, worksheets and AI tutor replies on CoolGuru are created using artificial intelligence (AI). We put real care into this content, but like any study material it may sometimes be incorrect, incomplete, out of date, or different from what your school, textbook or the current CBSE syllabus says.

By using CoolGuru, you agree that:

• CoolGuru is a study aid. It works best alongside textbooks, teachers and school, not instead of them.
• You will check anything important against your textbook or with a teacher.
• You use CoolGuru content based on your own judgement.
• We are not responsible for any loss, including marks or exam results, that comes from relying on CoolGuru content.
• The AI tutor is for studying only. It does not give medical, legal, financial or safety advice.

CoolGuru is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to CBSE, NCERT, or any school or board. “CBSE” and “NCERT” are the names of their respective owners. We do not promise any particular marks, rank or result.

To keep CoolGuru safe and fair for everyone, you agree not to:

• Copy, scrape, resell or republish CoolGuru content.
• Use bots or automated tools, or try to get around usage limits.
• Try to hack, overload or disrupt CoolGuru.
• Try to make the AI tutor produce harmful, hateful, sexual or inappropriate content.
• Upload anything illegal or harmful, or anything you do not have the right to share.
• Share other people’s personal information.
• Use CoolGuru to cheat in an exam or assessment.

To keep CoolGuru free and running smoothly, we set usage limits, such as the number of AI tutor questions per day. Current limits are shown in the app and may change.

You keep ownership of the questions and images you upload. You give us permission to store, process and use them to provide and improve CoolGuru, and to share them with our service providers, such as our AI provider, for that purpose.

CoolGuru and its content, design and branding belong to us. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial study. You may not copy, share, sell or use it for any other purpose without our written permission.

CoolGuru is free to use during beta. We may introduce paid plans or features in the future. You will not be charged unless you choose to buy something, and the price and terms will be shown to you before you pay. Any price shown in the app today is not an offer.

CoolGuru may show ads from third parties. We are not responsible for the content of ads or for the products, services or websites they link to. How ads use data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

You can stop using CoolGuru and delete your account at any time from Profile → Account details.

As CoolGuru grows, we may change, pause or stop any part of it at any time. To keep everyone safe, we may also suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or that puts others at risk.

We work hard to make CoolGuru helpful and accurate, but we cannot promise that it will always be correct, complete or available. To the fullest extent allowed by law, CoolGuru is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, CoolGuru and its team are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of CoolGuru or its content. This includes errors in content, marks or exam results, lost data, and any indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under Indian law that cannot be excluded, including your rights as a consumer.

If you, or anyone using your account, breaks these terms or the law, and this leads to a claim, loss or cost for CoolGuru, you agree to be responsible for it.

We may change these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when they last changed. If we make an important change, we will let you know in the app or by email. If you keep using CoolGuru after a change, you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The competent courts in India have jurisdiction. If something goes wrong, please email us first. We would like the chance to put it right.
